How do I get started?

Taking the first steps towards initiating therapy can be difficult; don’t put off to tomorrow what you can do today! The best way to get started is to contact me by either calling me at (781) 591-0425, or completing the contact form on this site. I will schedule a brief phone consultation with you to determine whether my training and philosophy are a good fit for your needs.


What should I expect from an intake appointment?

The intake appointment is an opportunity for you to share what brings you to therapy and you will learn about my style and approach to treatment.  This appointment lasts between 45-60 minutes, during which you will describe your current symptoms, emotions, problematic behaviors, and relevant history. Together we will decide whether you are a good match for therapy, and we will begin to create a treatment plan.


How often do we meet? And how long is a session?

Individual therapy sessions are typically 45 minutes in length. I prefer to meet once a week to start, but this may vary based on your specific treatment plan and your schedule.


What is the typical length of treatment?

Therapy can be short term or long term; some clients come weekly for 3 to 6 months until symptoms decrease, while others remain in therapy for longer periods of time and set new goals.


Where are you located?

My office is located at 148 Linden Street in Wellesley, MA. I am conveniently located near Linden Square and in walking distance from the Wellesley Square commuter rail station. There is ample parking around the building.


How much does therapy cost?

My fees are comparable to the market rate for psychotherapy in the Boston area. Please contact me directly for more information about my rates.


Do you take insurance?

I am in network for Blue Cross Blue Shields (BCBS), United Behavioral Health, and Beacon. I am an “out-of-network” provider for all other health plans, which means payment is due to me at the time of service, but I am happy to provide you with paperwork for you to submit for reimbursement.

Do you offer telehealth?

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I am exclusively conducting telehealth sessions with clients. These sessions are acovered by all insurance providers. I am currently accepting new patients for telehealth, with the preference being to work with patients who will continue with in-office care once the coronavirus pandemic is over, and the stay at home advisory has ended.
